A Great Travel Medical Plan for Trips Abroad
Individuals who often travel outside of their home country know that the Atlas Travel Insurance Plan is health insurance that they can rely on. This plan has been recently enhanced and now offers even more coverage to travelers. The Atlas Travel plan updates include the following:
Extreme sports: When exploring the world individuals don’t want a lack of insurance coverage to hold them back from a new experience. This why the extreme sports coverage is now automatically included in the plan without an additional cost. Whether you will be white water rafting, mountain climbing, hand gliding or bungee jumping it is now standard that the Atlas Travel plan includes coverage for these activities and more.
Acute onset of pre-existing conditions: Individuals that have a pre-existing condition that is maintained are able to have coverage with the Atlas Travel plan that will cover an unexpected, acute outbreak of that condition. Thanks to a coverage increase on this benefit, you are now able to receive up to $50,000 in coverage for that acute onset!
Emergency dental: The emergency dental coverage amount has also been increased to $250. This means that if you experience an acute onset of paid due to a dental emergency, you will be able to receive coverage up to $250.
Incidental home country coverage: When traveling, sometimes occasions back home require that individuals return to their home country for a short period. US citizens on the Atlas Travel plan have 15 days of coverage in their home country for every three consecutive months spent in their host country. Non-US citizens now have 30 days of coverage in their home country for every three months spent in their host country.
Additional new plan benefits include:
- Local burial/cremation coverage
- Outpatient ER coverage
- Increased return of minor children coverage
The best part about the plan enhancement is that for coverage outside of the US, the rates are even lower. This means more coverage and more savings.
