The Global Citizen international health insurance plans are backed by a U.S. Insurer, no matter how much time you spend in or out of the U.S. and will be either UNICARE Life & Health, a WellPoint company rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best, HM Life Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best or HM Life Insurance Company of New York, NY rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best. Global Citizen plans fully comply with state insurance department standards. It is the only international health insurance plan that is HIPAA administered.
Eligibility Criteria
All U.S. citizens living abroad who are 74 or younger at the time of application are eligible to apply for coverage. All legal residents of the U.S.(citizens and foreign nationals) who are age 74 or younger at the time of application are eligible if they live in one of the approved states - please see the plan benefits for the state listing.
